The Local Action Group Valli Gesso Vermenagna Pesio was established in July 1997 by public and private stakeholders. Since then, it has completed Leader II and Leader Plus programmes. Since 2009, it has been carrying out the Local Development Programme entitled “Enhancing the tourist accommodation through the improvement of local products”, included in the Axis IV Leader of the Regione Piemonte Rural Development Programme 2007-2013.

The current LAG activities, based on the traditional bottom-up approach, also aim to raise awareness and inform the local community about the new Local Development Programme, that can apply for the inclusion in the next Regione Piemonte Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
